Do you have some anxiety recently? Well, hi, welcome to the club. This is how I am most of the time, so love that other people can finally relate! But, since this is a scary time and anxiety isn’t a great feeling, I wanted to share some of the Instagram accounts I that I go to when I’m feeling super anxious that help me relax, Type A style.
1) @TheHomeEdit
The Home Edit may be my favorite Instagram account. It is a professional organizing company, so right off the back the images are all perfect and speak to my OCD soul. And, the two founders are hilarious, so their stories and videos are a great source of comedy for when I’m feeling stressed(or just anytime really). They also have a book and a TV show, so there is lots of organizing content to help with your Type A anxiety.
2) @horderly
After I found The Home Edit, I wanted to find other organization accounts to follow so that my feed would be all organized spaces. Hi, my name is Nicole and I’m OCD. Horderly is another great home organization company, and not only is this account organization perfection, they also walk you through the process as they organize spaces, which is super informative and inspiring!
3) @Karine_OCD
I love this account because it speaks to my OCD. I mean, it says it in the name for gosh sakes. The main difference I see with this account compared to other larger home organizers accounts is that she shows the befores and afters as well as more real people’s closests. Not to hate on the others, cause I love seeing Khole Kardashian’s closet, but sometimes it’s nice to see how someone would tackle the small “closet” that is in my apartment.
4) @lifeinjeneral
Ok, last one I swear. This is another professional organization account, so the fact that every photo is organized spaces is amazing. But, what I find different about this account is that in their stories, they go through their days as they organize spaces. Which is amazing. If you ever need to feel better about your space, it’s great to watch this team work on a garage and the number of things other people have. At least that makes me feel better!
5) @planner_daily
Besides organizing my spaces, I also LOVE having an organized planner. It’s something I can obsess about and have tried multiple different types. This account is just a feed of gorgeous, clean planner pages and ideas. It is truly goals. Love seeing how people use their planners and getting ideas for things I may want to add to my planner!
6) @patternology_
Patternology is great to follow because they have some truly amazing images of nature and the world. And these images focus on finding different patterns or textures rather than landscapes. Seeing another perspective to view a cactus or leaf is something I find very calming and interesting. Definitely one to check out!
Those are a few of my favorite accounts that I go to when I feel my anxiety taking over. There is something so comforting when my world feels so out of control or crazy to have these accounts to visit to help me relax.
Do you have an Instagram account that you go to that helps you? Let me know in the comments!
