My bathroom was the space that really started my organization journey. I remember being super frustrated just having drawers full of products and spending so much time looking for things.
After trying out multiple different types of products during my organization project, I am sharing with y’all my favorite items to use to keep your bathroom organized.
1) Drawers
This was one of the first products that I knew I needed for my organization project. My biggest pet peeve in my bathroom was all of the wasted space under my sink. There was so much volume but little shelf space!
Stacking drawers are the perfect solution! I tripled my storage under my sink since I was able to put in stacks of three drawers. Having multiple drawers also allows you to organize by category, which makes finding what you are looking for super easy. These were truly a game changer for me.
2) Turntable
There are many reasons why I love turntables. They allow you to store taller items that don’t fit in drawers. They spin so you can see all of your products. Plus, its fun to spin them!
I found these really useful for organizing my hair care items. Why are these bottles so much taller than other cosmetics? I also really loved how once I had this all set up, I was able to quickly reach down and find the hair product I needed so I could make my hair perfect. Or as good as I can get it which isn’t that perfect.
3) Stackable Bins
In my bathroom there were two drawers that really caused me problems. They were these deeper drawers that were too shallow for hair products but just having skincare items in the drawer left a lot of wasted space. Enter stacking bins.
I love The Home Edit stacking bins the best, and was so happy when they were released. They fit together perfectly even between different sizes. These bins were really great for organizing my face masks and such since I could now have multiple layers of bins allowing me to use all of the space in the drawer.
4) Hair Tool Organizer
This item seems simple, but it really made a big difference in my bathroom. Before I used this, I kept all of my hair tools in one drawer. Everything didn’t fit, and the cords would get tangled and it was just a mess.
Having this simply item makes everything easier since it has a set position for each of your tools. Instead of digging through a drawer I can now just open my door and grab whatever tool I need. This has been great especially in the morning when I was trying to rush to get ready for work. There is nothing that would spur a bad day for me like having to wrestle with tangled cords in the morning.
5) Countertop Storage
One thing that is unique to bathrooms is there are many items that you reach for multiple times a day. So, I knew I wanted to have these on my counter so I could easily get to them. But having a lots of bottles and things laying out looks messy and caused me stress.
So, I searched for the perfect countertop organizer. I knew that I wanted something with drawers and bins to hold everything from makeup brushes to toothpaste. What I love about this particular unit is how customizable it is. You can choose what items to include based on your space and what you need it to hold.
